Haute Africa

What?

Haute Africa is a nonprofit organization that empowers entrepreneurs in Africa to lift themselves and their employees out of poverty by providing them with business knowledge and ideas.

How?

Haute Africa is funded by generous donors. Their funding provides management training, consulting, and financial services to small business owners in Africa.

When?

We started serving clients in Africa in the fall of 2007.

Why?

Our approach is working. Since 2007, Haute Africa has worked with 195 small business owners in Africa, who in turn have grown their businesses and created over 300 new jobs – effectively breaking the cycle of poverty for the newly employed and their families.

Who?

Haute Africa was founded by Ben Hafele, who saw the need for a fresh approach to economic development while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in West Africa. Haute Africa is now managed by Ansoumane Camara, who helped Ben to build Haute Africa and who has supported hundreds of small business owners in West Africa.

Where?

Haute Africa’s operations are based in Conakry, Guinea.
